About Me
EDUCATOR
The desire to build difference embracing communities which encourage individuality has guided my career in education from the beginning. My passion for Special Education is rooted in the core belief that differences in ability a learner may experience only become disabling when seen as socially significant. Schools have the power to shape this narrative, and it is my belief that it is a school leader’s job to create a culture where differences are viewed as strengths rather than a source of stigma and shame.

Leadership Vision
EQUITY • COLLABORATION • AUTHENTICITY
For me, a perfect school has staff and students which build lasting and meaningful relationships that allow for success for the entire school community. These bonds should be fostered by staff willing to put in the time and effort required to know students and their individual needs. Students, family, and community should not feel a barrier with school staff. In my ideal school, all parties communicate concerns and feelings so everyone feels heard.
